The origin of a river and the birth of a saint are difficult to trace. Wherever
might be its origin, rushing down from mountaintops the river winds its way along
hills and valleys, forests and plains and flows incessantly towards the sea. A saint
is also like the river heading relentlessly towards godhead against all odds, and
in the course - inspiring, influencing and reviving mankind and guiding them towards
spiritual perfection. We are extremely fortunate to be born as the contemporaries
of Swami Sundara Chaitanyanandaji Maharaj who is one of the greatest cultural revivalists
and spiritual teachers of our time awakening mankind with his clarion call to Self-knowledge.
Swamiji is a saint of the highest order with great erudition in Indian scriptures,
endowed with a rare combination of talents in oratory, literature, singing and music
- all helping him to fulfill his spiritual mission of educating people at large
on the intricacies of Sanatana Dharma. The periodical lectures and Dhyana classes
conducted in the ashram often carry the listeners to realms of indescribable joy
and peace. He is the Divine Master whose love gives and promises to evolve his disciples
to their destination of eternal bliss. Pujya Swamiji is thus the guide, philosopher
and also the friend of his devotees. He wins over their hearts with his grace, simplicity
and sweetness and they in turn lose themselves at his holy feet in a reverie of
gratitude.
